Concerned neighbors in a small town in South Korea contacted local rescuers about two homeless dogs that badly needed help. They told them that they’ve tried more than a couple of times to catch them, but the animals were too wary of people so they failed. Quickly, the rescuers responded.
As soon as they made it to the neighborhood, the rescuers immediately went to work. Within a few minutes, they spotted the male dog by the sidewalk so they slowly approached. But the very moment the dog spotted them, he stood up and walked away limping.
The locals told the responders that a snare caught the dog and left him with a nasty wound. He was badly hurt but he refused to let anyone take off the wire that strangled him. So for a very long time, he endured excruciating pain.
Later on, the rescuers spotted a female dog, which was the wife of the male dog they initially saw. They learned from the residents that both of them were badly hurt. But despite their injuries, they did a great job of raising their puppies.
The responders observed the dog-parents for a few hours to learn more about them. Soon, they discovered where they hid their puppies. Underneath a pile of rocks, they kept their little ones away from people and from anything they thought would cause harm. But what they didn’t realize was that their den wasn’t a haven either.
While the mama dog was asleep with her babies in the den and the papa dog was away, the rescuers proceeded with their plan. Slowly and very carefully, they took away the boulders that covered the family. And when the mama dog saw them and panicked, they helped her relax by mildly sedating her.
From the rescue site, the mama dog and her five puppies continued to the vet’s clinic. They all received medical attention and, fortunately, they were in perfect shape. A few days later, the papa dog arrived at the clinic and underwent emergency surgery. He then joined his family once he woke up.
The residents were ecstatic when they learned the furry family was finally safe. They witnessed how the dog-parents took care of their puppies despite their own injuries, and they wished them nothing but great lives ahead of them.
