Famous television show characters can be a positive influence on a lot of people. That’s why when they advocate towards helping and rescuing shelter dogs, it’s something worth featuring.
Here’s Cookie Monster and his recent collaboration with The Dodo, a media network specialized in telling inspiring animal-related stories.
Cookie Monster is a well-known puppet from the television show Sesame Street. Recently he met with a dog named Buddy and helped him become a happier dog. While doing so, he also helped other dogs in the same animal shelter.
Cookie Monster gave the dogs he met lots of snacks. However, when it came to Buddy, snacks weren’t enough to make the dog happy. Cookie Monster had to put in more effort for Buddy.
Buddy loves toys that are colored red, so Cookie Monster decorated an entire room with that color. Buddy loved being in that room and found it very fun. Again, despite all of that, there was one thing that Buddy longed for the most, a family.
One day the shelter got an important phone call from a family who wanted to adopt Buddy. This family had a daughter named Ruby, who really wanted a dog. It didn’t take long for the family to come to the shelter and meet him.
The initial meeting went well. There was great chemistry between the dog and the family. Ruby seemed to enjoy interacting with Buddy and vice versa. After that, the family went through with the adoption.
Interestingly enough, Ruby’s name refers to a red gem that has a color Buddy loves. Cookie Monster pointed this out and believed it was a sign that Buddy was meant to be with her. The popular character was happy to see Buddy find a permanent place to stay.
After one week, Ruby sent a letter to Cookie Monster informing him of how Buddy was doing. Ruby loves taking care of her new dog and giving him everything he needs. She sent videos of Buddy hanging out with his new family. This made Cookie Monster feel satisfied and relieved.
