Members of an animal welfare organization received an anonymous tip that there was a dog locked up in a greenhouse up in a hill. Quickly, they went to investigate.
It was already dark but something told them they couldn’t wait until morning to check the place, and when they arrived at the said location, they heard whimpers coming from the greenhouse so they wasted no time.
With a flashlight on hand, the responders opened the hatch of the greenhouse and saw a white dog. It felt relieved when it saw them and it was so eager to say hi. But despite its enthusiasm to meet the rescuers, it acted pretty anxiously, too.
The responders checked the surroundings and spotted another dog that was of the same breed as the first one. But that wasn’t the worst part. Inside the greenhouse were several cages, and in each division was at least one lifeless body of a dog.
Out of at least 18 dogs, only 2 were alive. But they weren’t in very good conditions either. They starved, their fur matted, and they were cold because they had no proper protection at all.
It was urgent to get the dogs out of that hell hole but the responders needed to ensure they do everything right. They sought reinforcement and went back to the greenhouse first thing the following day. While some of them fed the dog, the rest of their crew asked around but they didn’t get any information that would lead them to the owner of the place.
Suddenly, a man came and admitted he was responsible for the poor dogs. He said that someone hired him to take care of the dogs for breeding purposes. But then, that person just stopped sending him money. So even if he wanted to keep feeding them, he simply didn’t have the funds to pay for their needs.
Later on, the two dogs were taken to the hospital for medical care. Besides anemia caused by starvation, they were surprisingly in good health. With lots of rest, adequate nutrition, and lots of love from their rescuers, they soon recovered. And before long, they were ready to start fresh.
Meanwhile, the rescuers took care of the remains of the dogs that did not survive. They give them a proper burial and freed their beautiful souls so they could ascend to dog heaven.
