Backseat drivers are not fun to be with, but Daisy, the six-year-old Chihuahua-Maltese mix is an exemption. She tends to grab the steering wheel from Oliver, her driving buddy, but he doesn’t seem to mind at all. Some would get annoyed by this gesture, but Oliver trusts her well enough to let her take the wheel from him.
A toddler and two Chihuahuas
Daisy is not the only Chihuahua in the house. She shares the space with Donald, who is five years old. Both dogs enjoy Oliver’s company. The dogs are extra happy when they hear Oliver laugh; it’s as if they’re rewarded for doing their job well.
According to Oliver’s mom, the first word that came out of his mouth was “dog.” It seems that the toddler knew that he’d be having two canine best friends. It is not surprising that he loves spending time with the two Chihuahuas.
Taking the car for a spin
Oliver and Daisy took on a new adventure when the toddler received a toy car. It was like a real one since it can be steered manually. The seat can only accommodate one person, so they have to squeeze themselves in to fit. They jumped in to take it for a spin one morning, with hands and paws on the steering wheel.
Daisy was more excited to be in the car that she began steering it. As a responsible driver, she kept her eyes on the road to make sure they don’t hit anything. It seemed like the Chihuahua had full control over the vehicle, but little did she know that Oliver’s mom had the remote control. She corrected the steering whenever it was needed.
Oliver petted Daisy to let her know that she did an excellent job of driving his car. Watch the video below:
