Every Thanksgiving, there are thousands of homeless dogs out there that don’t get a meal. That’s why a guy who goes by Rocky Kanaka is prepared a large Thanksgiving meal for homeless dogs. Rocky is a pet chef and is very knowledgeable about pet nutrition. He teamed up with the people from Reverse Rescue to make everything possible. They called the event Barksgiving.
The Thanksgiving meal consists of pot pies, pumpkin pies, and cornbread. These are regular products that Rocky sells and ships to different locations. There are also fresh mash potatoes and gravy on the menu.
The homeless dogs who will be having the meal are diverse. There’s a bulldog named Big Mama. For nine year, she was used for breeding. Big Mama is just her nickname, but after the meal, she’s going to be given a new name.
There’s also a French bulldog named Tonka, he came from the same shelter as Big Mama. There’s also a Great Dane named Goliath. He’s currently underweight and needs all the food he can get. However, his appetite isn’t that big since he’s an older dog. Rocky hopes the thanksgiving meal will help.
There are also pit bulls. Roman is a deaf dog but is being taught sign language. Rich and Freddy are also senior pit bulls. There’s also a lot more dogs outside that are being given the meal. Not all of them can fit in the table, so some of them are going to eat outside.
After mashing some fresh potatoes and preparing gravy for dogs, it’s time to begin the meal. The dogs chow down on all the food that’s in front of them. As expected, the table was messy, but it’s evident that the dogs loved every second of the event.
After the meal, Big Mama was given a new name. She is now called Fiona. Rocky hopes that after uploading the video, someone will be interested in adopting the dogs from Reverse Rescue.
