Dogs form special bonds with their owners. These bonds can often transcend basic instincts. Some dogs would risk their lives just for the sake of their owners. It’s not just big dogs who can be heroic, small dogs can be saviors too.
An elderly woman is on tears as she realized the gravity of the situation she went through. She is crying for multiple reasons. Firstly, her house burned down, and her dogs were injured. However, an even bigger reason for her tears has to do with what her dogs did.
Song and Seol are two small Pekingese dogs. Contrary to their size, they have a big heart. They were brave enough to make sure their owner didn’t get engulfed by flames. Even when such bravery cost them a few burns.
The elderly woman was sleeping in her home when the flames erupted. Her dogs did everything they can to wake her up. Fortunately for her, she and her dogs were able to survive. Their home wasn’t so fortunate.
Seol and Song are the only companions the woman has left. Her children had passed away due to a drowning incident, and her husband also died a few years after. That’s why she treats Song and Seol as her children.
The woman has left her dogs temporarily at a clinic as she sorts things out. It’s hard for her to decide on her next move. The SBS team has provided her with a temporary place to stay for the meantime.
When she got back with her dogs after their recovery, she received some good news. The social welfare department heard her story and had come to a decision. They will rebuild her house.
The social welfare department will also donate furniture and other amenities once the house is built. The woman cannot express how grateful she feels. Of course, the one she is most grateful to is none other than Song and Seol.
