Justice was around two years old when he was found in the streets with his whole body covered with chemical burns. Local rescuers were called in to help the poor dog who was barely alive. With such extensive damage to his body, it was a miracle that he survived that long.
He was brought to the Shelbyville County Animal Shelter, where vets from their clinic immediately treated the dog. They had to wrap him in bandages as he had exposed wounds that were highly susceptible to infection. Amazingly, he started to respond to the treatment and slowly started to heal.
The dog’s wounds closed without any further complications, and his fur started to grow in patches. The vets said that he would always bear his scars, and he would never look like a normal dog ever again. But that didn’t matter; everybody loved Justice, not for his looks.
A new life
There is so much more to the abused dog than his scars. Although he lived a life devoid of love and had a rough start, he responded well to the love and attention that the vets and the shelter staff gave him. He showed a lot of timidness and sadness at the start; then, he gradually became a happy dog that loved life. His character started to grow, and he became more playful.
He stayed in the shelter for one year recuperating from the severe burns that he had. And finally, he was ready to be put up for adoption. And while he was getting stronger, more and more people learned about his story. There was a ton of application for his adoption coming from all over the globe.
And soon he found his new home near where he was found in Indiana. His new family keeps people always updated on his developments. They said that Justice is getting more comfortable with his new surroundings every day and has learned how it is to be a pet once again.
