When a dog named Moby arrived at a local animal shelter in Brown County, he was scared and confused. Although the exact details about his past are unknown, rescuers reported that the dog was shot once, and he was left homeless after his former owner was arrested. The pooch had to face a lot of rough times until he reached the shelter. But recently, the dog had something to be cheerful about.
Moby’s animal shelter posted a video on social media to announce the news that after spending 848 days at the facility, the dog had finally found a loving forever family.
The shelter manager, Caity Robertson, told reporters that the entire shelter staff had been waiting for Moby to find a home for a very long time. The staff was happy and sad at the same time to see off Moby. His goofy personality and snaggletooth smile would be dearly missed, but it was exciting to see that he had finally found a home. His new owner would certainly try his best to give Moby a chance to live his best life.
The shelter staff worked very hard to overcome the dog’s fear and anxiety. The pooch had some traumatic experiences in the past, and he was unable to trust humans, but with due care and attention, the staff made him transform into a normal dog. It certainly took a lot of patience, but the shelter employees were able to mend Moby’s personality issues.
Moby is now full of energy and love. Moby now loves to play with people and other dogs. He also thoroughly enjoys going on trips and having car rides. His tail can’t stop wagging when he sees someone he is familiar with.
For years the shelter staff looked for the perfect family for Moby — and it happened during the COVID-19 pandemic.
