In Texas, a Dogo Argentino named Bella made it to the local news for her heroic deed. She saved their neighbor’s dog and her best pal, Tasa, from a coyote attack.
According to local news, the Magnolia neighborhood where Bella lives frequently sees deer and other wildlife roaming in their area. What they did not expect was for a pack of coyotes to get into their backyards and attack dogs.
The incident occurred on Thanksgiving Day 2019. Michael Cobb, Bella’s owner, shared that he heard Bella barking loudly and scratching the window at around 2:30 am. He thought his dog saw a deer outside, so he opened the door and let her out so she could chase it away. And then, he heard her give out a large yelp, so he went out to check on her.
To Cobb’s surprise, he saw Bella surrounded by a pack of coyotes. The coyotes were aggressive, but thankfully, he managed to scare them away to save Bella. What he did not know at that time was that Bella also saved their neighbor’s dog, Tasa, from the coyote attack.
When Spencer Williams, Tasa’s owner, checked their CCTV, he saw the eight-year-old Border Collie, Tasa, running away from the coyotes. She tried to get into their backyard door, but when she realized that it was closed, she went in the direction of Bella’s house. Then, her brave friend came out to help her fight back against the coyotes.
Battered by the incident, Tasa was sore, and she suffered from bite marks in her inner thigh, which made her limp. But, her owner believes that it could have been worse if Bella was not around to help.
Even after the attack, Bella continued to care for her limping friend. She acted as gently as she could whenever she was around her. Indeed, Tasa would be thankful that she has Bella as a friend.
