Their owner always walked these two Shih Tzu-Terrier mix dogs through Williamstown Cemetery, Victoria in Australia. However, this stroll would turn out to be way different than usual.
Attack at the cemetery
The woman, known only as Kate, and her two small dogs went for their daily walk through the cemetery. Typically, there would be more people around, jogging or walking their dogs as well. But on this day, there seemed to be no one about. Suddenly, a man attacked Kate from behind and pinned her down. She started to scream and struggle as the man was trying to assault her. This is when her dogs, Louie and RuPaul, sprang into action.
Doggie defenders
As the man was pushing Kate down into the mud and trying to pull her pants down, the two small dogs started to respond to their owner’s situation. They began to attack him viciously, biting and growling, to get the attacker to leave their owner alone. Their efforts paid off, and the man finally stopped his assault on the woman and left.
Little heroes
It was a situation that could have been a lot worse if it weren’t for these two brave dogs. Thanks to them, their owner was spared from becoming a victim of another senseless sexual assault. Even if they were small, this did not stop them from defending their owner and keeping her safe. Their owner could not even imagine what could have happened if they ran away or did not do anything.
The attacker is now still being searched for by the local police. Kate and her dogs have moved homes and have not returned to the cemetery again. Thanks to Louie and RuPaul, their owner was shaken but wasn’t badly hurt from the horrifying experience. She couldn’t be happier or more thankful for their heroic rescue.
