Aaron Morris and his beloved service pup companion, Jolene, recently relocated from Michigan to North Carolina when Aaron decided to do a quick stop at a Dollar General on a busy Friday. He left Jolene outside to pick up a few things, thinking that nothing out of the ordinary would happen.
Aaron returned after finishing some errands at the store when he saw that his car, most of his belongings, and Jolene were gone. It turns out that someone had already been tailing Aaron and stole from him when the opportunity arose.
Aaron instantly panicked because he had been with Jolene for six whole years, and he had never been without her. He was distraught because he lost his guardian angel and best friend all in one snap.
Aaron quickly posted on his Facebook account about his current predicament and told everybody his heart was destroyed because his best friend was gone. He tells his dog everything, even the most mundane stuff, and that he needed his precious dog back in his arms.
Aaron said that he did not care about getting his car, wallet, phone, or anything back because all that mattered to him was Jolene. However, he was slowly beginning to lose hope as days passed because he still has not heard anything about Jolene.
Fortunately, a humane society in Tennesee called Morristown Hamblen recently welcomed a brown Labrador and Pit Bull mix that a concerned citizen dropped off. It turns out that the dog was found wandering the streets before being surrendered to the shelter.
The shelter workers noticed that the pup was wearing a pink collar and a tag that says “Jolene.” They immediately contacted the number provided, but it did not go through.
The workers posted Jolene’s photo on Facebook, hoping to reunite the lonely dog with her owner. Aaron and Jolene eventually reunited, and it was all thanks to those who contacted him on his social media about his dog’s current whereabouts.
