A dog named Arong saved her family from ultimate disaster. But in the process, she lost her puppies. And despite her family’s efforts to console her, she just couldn’t accept that her little ones were no longer around.
According to Arong’s dad, it was around 7 in the morning when heavy rain started to pour. He thought it was just a typical typhoon and didn’t think they were in danger. Only when Arong started to rip the walls off did he realize that he and his son had to evacuate.
As soon as they stepped out, the torrent came and engulfed their entire home. Moments later, a landslide occurred and wiped out everything that they had. But the good thing was that they survived and none of them got seriously hurt.
The family moved into a new flat but Arong kept coming back to the remains of their old house. She rummaged through the debris looking for something. She sniffed through the rubble and dug holes in the hope of finding her puppies again.
Thinking she only needed time, Arong’s family decided to let her stay near their old home. They gave her a doggy house with a warm blanket inside and brought her food every day. All seemed well, when, suddenly, she stopped showing up so her family started to worry.
They went to check where Arong was, and in the middle of the remnants, they found her snuggling four newborn puppies. They were taken aback because they had no clue that she was pregnant. They didn’t want her to lose her babies again so they decided to move them into their new home.
Arong didn’t take her eyes off her puppies as her family moved them into their new place. She only relaxed once all her babies were together again and within her eyesight. But shortly after, she carried them one by one and moved them back to the run-down house.
The family worried for Arong and her babies but the vet suggested letting the dog raise her puppies where she feels safe. So instead of compelling her to live with them, they reinforced the dilapidated house, made it cozy on the inside, and kept it warm. It didn’t look very nice from the outside but it gave adequate housing for Arong and her little ones.
