A Good Samaritan was on his way home from work when he heard cries of distress coming from somewhere. He didn’t see anything right away so he decided to look around. Eventually, he discovered that there was a little puppy inside a water pipe crying in despair for help.
The man checked to see if there was any way he could get the puppy out, but unfortunately, the pipe was three meters deep, and the railing that covered it was fixed to the ground. He needed help so he contacted the local rescuers. While he waited, he kept an eye on the puppy and made sure nothing worse happened.
Once the rescuers were onsite, they realized the drain pipe had two openings. The other end was unbarred and it’s most probably where the puppy fell down. Unfortunately, it wasn’t wide enough for an adult to fit in so none of the rescuers could enter through that hole.
There was only one way to get the puppy out of the drain pipe and that’s to remove the metal barrier. Despite the late hour, some of the rescuers proceeded to the district office to get permission to do the job. Some of them, meanwhile, contacted a vet and brought her to the scene.
Soon, those who went to the district office came back with the go signal to tear off the barrier. Once they did, one of them went down the pipe and pulled the puppy out of the drain that had started to fill with rainwater. And then, the vet took the little one and covered him with a blanket. Within a few seconds, the puppy felt relieved and fell asleep because he knew he was finally in safe hands.
During the rescue, however, there was an adult dog that kept hovering over the place. She seemed too interested in what was happening and refused to leave. Even when the mission was over and the heavy rain started to pour, she stayed.
The rescuers knew something was up so they decided to ask around and learned that the adult dog was the puppy’s momma. They laid out a plan to capture her. And the moment they secured her, they reunited her with her baby at the vet’s clinic.
The momma dog lay beside her baby and momentarily fell asleep. Her puppy, meanwhile, leaned his head on her and took a nap as well. Surely, they knew they were safe.
