Rem was on the verge of death when he was rescued from the shelter. San Antonio Pets Alive and Vet Ranch saved him from his situation.
The unfortunate dog can only be thankful for the second chance he was given.
Rem appeared to be unable to heal from his ailments. He was blind, bald, and really underweight for a dog his age and breed. He was also suffering from a secondary staph infection, which made things even worse.
To say the least, the dog was in poor health. It was only natural that his old shelter put him on a list of dogs slated for euthanasia.
When a vet named Dr. Matt found Rem, he was staring blankly at the wall. The animal doctor believed that there was a chance Rem’s blindness could be reversed. Rem’s vision loss could have been caused by drugs. He took action right away and purged the drug from Rem’s system.
Dr. Matt determined Rem was suffering from liver difficulties during his examination. In addition, he was anemic and his gums were pale. Because the dog’s skin was sore, the medical staff had to be kind and gentle and they give him a warm wash.
Rem’s vision was partially recovered after two days of treatment. He could also wag his tail and hold his head erect, indicating that he was regaining strength.
Dr. Matt, on the other hand, observed that the dog was having trouble trusting people. He resolved to address that problem after Rem’s medical treatment was over and the dog was healthy enough.
Rem was brought to Dr. Matt’s place to recover. The dog began to eat correctly, feel more secure, and appreciate human company at this point.
Rem grew up to be a cheerful, friendly dog. Here’s where you may follow his progress:
