Since 2014, this dog named Mica has been with the League for Animal Welfare in Ohia. In these seven years, the dog showed a hopeful attitude that someone would bring him home and allow him to experience the life of a house dog. However, fate seems elusive for the poor dog, so the shelter is taking matters into their hands.
In a Facebook post, the shelter announced the dog’s condition and how long he has been waiting for a kind person to adopt him. In the post, the shelter narrated how the dog arrived at the shelter, saying Mica is a victim of abuse in his previous home.
The shelter said it is difficult for the dog to be around people due to his past experiences. But despite this, the shelter knows the dog is deserving of someone who will take good care of him in the long run. This is because the dog is a good communicator and would give cues whenever he is uncomfortable with any situation.
Since the dog has been with the shelter for a long time, the volunteers already know the nuances of taking good care of him. The volunteers said that most of the time, Mica loves to be alone.
If anyone seeks to adopt the dog, the potential adopter should know how to set boundaries. This is because even though Mica has good days, most of the time, he wants to do things by himself.
After seven years in the shelter, Mica has already built a good rapport with the volunteers. The volunteers will not initiate playing with the dog. It is always the other way around since Mica is not always in the mood to play. But whenever the dog is happy, the volunteers become witnesses to the playful side of Mica’s personality.
That pup, named Mica, is a 10-year-old pointer, german shorthaired/retriever, Labrador mix — and he's been in the shelter since 2014. https://t.co/cCYaa3O8la
