Dogs are sometimes prohibited in workspaces or offices because of a multitude of reasons. Some of these reasons range from the pooch posing a threat to workers to the most mundane of sanitary problems.
While all these reasons are valid and should be heard, there are also several positive grounds where office management could consider in making their offices dog-friendly.
For one, several studies show that dogs can contribute to making morale and productivity within the workplace high. Additionally, a survey made by Rover to 1,200 US dog owners said that 75% of pet owners are likely to stay in the company if it permits their dogs to stay in the office.
More than this, pooches also put up largely in decreasing the stress level inside the office because most workers feel lively and happy whenever they see one whom they can pet from time to time.
The reason for this is that most offices are already filled with deadlines which contribute to heightened anxiety and distress among employees. The presence of pooch can at least alleviate this and bring about positive demeanor.
According to the same study by Rover, nine in ten employees prefer to see dogs inside the office because for them, just by the presence of a dog already makes them blissful and safe.
In the United States, there is this custom that every June 21 it is the Bring Your Dog To Work Day. In line with this celebration, Rover.com has come up with the list of the friendliest offices for dogs.
Topping the list is Amazon, which is located in Seattle Washington. In the Amazon office, there are 6,000 registered pooches where they could enjoy themselves. The office likewise has poop bags and treats.
Also in the list are Procore Technologies, Trupanion, Pet Smart, AirBnb, and Nestle. Completing the Top 10 companies are Zogics, Eros, Petco Animal Supplies, and Uber.
