Dr. Cameron Garrett worked at Corte Madra Family Dentistry as its dentist. Before his unique rescue dog named Kismet became an official member of the dental team, he had a lot of trouble calming down anxious patients.
Muttville Elderly Dog Rescue is a California-based organization dedicated to the adoption of senior canines. Their most adorable dog was a Chihuahua named Kismet. Little Kismet was well-liked at the shelter because of her cheerful disposition.
The sad puppy arrived at the shelter in horrible shape, so the volunteers suspected she had been mistreated. Kismet was brought to the veterinarian for an examination, and the vet advised that she required numerous costly medical procedures.
The poor dog required the removal of a malignant tumor, treatment for a hernia, and extraction of all of her teeth due to periodontal disease. But despite her missing teeth, Kismet was her normal cheerful personality.
Dr. Cameron was the first to volunteer when Kismet became available for adoption. It was exactly at the same time he was looking for a new dog, he realized that Kismet was the ideal match for him.
Kismet became a little assistant to the dentist and she never showed aggressive behavior and was quite hospitable to everyone she met. Because of this, Dr. Cameron believed she would be an excellent addition to his dental team.
Patients frequently experience anxiety when visiting the dentist due to the instruments and procedures. Kismet’s task was to lie silently on the patient during an operation in order to make him or her feel more at ease.
Dr. Cameron felt his method was effective after receiving multiple positive reviews. The patients felt immediate relief upon entering the clinic and seeing Kismet, who was so endearingly helpful.
The dentist was extremely grateful for this little dog’s assistance. He also believes that many of his patients would be motivated to adopt their own senior dog.
