Fathers will do anything to make their children happy. They will do what they can regardless of their condition or situation. One father went above and beyond to give his son happiness even after he passed away.
A young boy named Logan wanted a puppy ever since he was 3-years-old. Unfortunately, his father, Joe, was allergic to pets. The closest thing to a dog Logan had was a toy Boston terrier.
Logan’s father also battled with cancer for nine years. Regardless of that, he became a wonderful dad. Logan recalls how his father always planned surprises for him and his sibling.
Joe was a person who can turn a lot of bad situations into positive ones. When he learned he would lose his battle with cancer, he planned one final surprise. He asked his wife to give their son, Logan, a dog.
Joe knew that a dog would bring Logan a lot of comforts. The dog, in reality, brought everyone in the family comfort. It wasn’t just Logan.
Five days after Joe passed away, the family went to get a dog. Logan’s cousin was the person who told Logan about the gift. He handed Logan a Boston terrier.
The boy was moved to tears. Logan’s cousin said, “That’s from your dad. It’s your dog.” Logan couldn’t believe it. He asked if the dog is really his. His cousin confirmed it. Logan paused for a while. His expression was priceless.
Logan named the Boston terrier Indy. According to Joe’s wife, the surprise went as smoothly as possible. It was as if Joe was watching from above, orchestrating the entire thing. He might no longer be around anymore, but his positivity and generosity live on.
Words aren’t enough to describe the emotions Logan must have felt. If you want to see his heartwarming reaction, watch the clip from Inside Edition below.
